Looking for a typically Gouda experience to add to your group trip or day programme? With Bootje Kaas, your guests can discover Gouda’s historic city centre from the water. During our 1-hour boat tour, we cruise through the charming canals of the city centre, offering a completely different perspective of Gouda.
Our skippers can tell you all about Gouda in Dutch and English. For international groups, we also offer an audio tour in almost every language, allowing guests to discover the story of Gouda in their own language.
Tour operators receive a 15% discount on our boat tours.
Regular boat tour or your own private boat
Depending on your programme and group size, there are several options available.
Join a regular boat tour
For smaller groups, seats can be reserved on one of our regular boat tours. The tour lasts 1 hour, and your guests join one of Bootje Kaas’ scheduled departures. Our multilingual audio tour is also available during these cruises.
A private boat for your group
Prefer to have a boat exclusively for your own group? Our boats can also be privately chartered. We have three boats with capacities of 12, 12 and 34 passengers. This allows us to accommodate both small and larger groups. For even larger groups, multiple boats can be used. For private tours, we are happy to coordinate the departure time with your day program.
As a tour operator, you receive a 15% discount on the regular boat tour price.
Food and drinks
on board?
On a private boat tour, it is possible to arrange food and drinks on board. For example, combine your cruise with a sharing platter featuring Gouda cheese and a drink.
Food must be ordered in advance and is provided by our external catering partner. For drinks, we can arrange a suitable selection in consultation with you.
Food and drinks are only available on private boat tours.

Gouda welcomes visitors from all over the world. We therefore make sure that international guests can also discover the stories behind the city. Our skippers tell the story of Gouda in Dutch and English.

Even in typical Dutch weather
A little rain doesn’t have to get in the way of a boat tour through Gouda.
One of our boats has a canopy, allowing us to cruise under cover. This means your guests can stay comfortable on board and a little less-than-perfect weather doesn’t necessarily mean the boat tour has to be removed from the programme.
